Who We Are

Our Story

Green Mountain Behavior Consulting, Inc. (GMBC) was established in 2014, with the vision of providing high-quality, family-friendly, and child-centered behavior analytic services that support children, youth, and adults with varying abilities to thrive at school, at home, and in their communities.

Many talented professionals experienced in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) have since joined GMBC, sharing in this vision to use the latest research and evidence-based practices of ABA.

At GMBC, we believe support works best when it is individualized, collaborative, and rooted in dignity and trust.

Our Values

“At GMBC we provide compassionate care for all that is person-centered, meaningful, and effective.”

This commitment extends to the individuals we serve, their families, our school & community partners, and the people who make this work possible, our staff.

Our Mission

At GMBC, our mission is to help children, youth, adults, and families reach their fullest potential by creating meaningful opportunities for learning, growth, and independence at school, home, and in the community.

Using ABA therapy and other evidence-based approaches, we create individualized programs designed around each client’s personal strengths, goals, and needs. We partner with families and schools to create individualized plans and supportive environments where meaningful progress can bloom and clients can flourish.

Our goal is to improve the quality of life for the individuals and their families we serve, strengthen systems of support, and provide meaningful, effective guidance and training for parents, caregivers, educators, and school staff.

What We Do

  • Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) is an evidence-based approach to supporting young children on the autism spectrum during important years of learning and development. Research suggests that early, intensive, and individualized intervention can help children build meaningful communication, social, adaptive, and school readiness skills that support long-term growth and independence.

At GMBC, our Early Intervention Centers provide individualized, insurance-based care in an engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate setting where children learn through play, meaningful relationships, and everyday experiences. Through a combination of one-to-one and group learning opportunities, children build foundational skills, practice learning alongside same-aged peers, and develop important skills for communication, social connection, flexibility, independence, and school readiness.

Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBAs®) oversee each child’s individualized program and supervise the Behavior Technicians (BTs) providing direct support. We partner closely with families to ensure services are compassionate, evidence-based, and responsive to each child’s strengths, needs, and goals.

  • School-Based Services provide individualized behavioral support within public school settings to help students access meaningful educational, social, and emotional experiences. Services are designed to support students who may benefit from additional behavioral, emotional, or learning supports in order to better access their education and participate more fully in school life.

At GMBC, our Behavior Consultants and Behavior Instructors (BIs) partner with public schools to create supportive, inclusive learning environments where students can build communication, self-regulation, social, adaptive, and independence skills while increasing confidence, participation, and access to education. Through collaboration with students, families, educators, and school teams, supports are individualized and responsive to each student’s strengths, needs, and goals.

While we frequently support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD), services are available to students with a wide range of strengths, needs, diagnoses, and learning profiles.

While direct student support is the primary model of our Inclusion Program, GMBC School-Based Services can also include whole classroom support, staff training, consultation, and individualized planning designed to strengthen learning environments and build sustainable systems of support for students and school teams.

  • Our Adult Community-Based Services provide individualized support designed to help individuals build meaningful life skills that increase independence, connection, and quality of life. Services are focused on helping individuals participate more fully in home, work, recreational, and community experiences that matter to them.

At GMBC, supports are provided in both community and center-based settings where individuals can strengthen daily living, communication, social, adaptive, and employment related skills through real world experiences, social opportunities, and group activities. Services are designed to build confidence, relationships, and independence while increasing participation in everyday life.

Our Behavior Consultants and Behavior Instructors (BIs) work collaboratively with individuals, families, caregivers, and support teams to provide compassionate, evidence-based services responsive to each person’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.

  • GMBC Independent Therapeutic-School Services provide individualized, supportive educational environments for students who benefit from an alternative approach to learning and school participation. Services are designed to help students build skills, increase confidence, and access meaningful educational, social, and emotional experiences in settings tailored to their unique strengths and needs.

We support students through individualized plans, therapeutic supports, and relationship-based environments designed to foster growth, regulation, engagement, and success. Through compassionate, evidence-based practices and collaborative support, students build communication, self-regulation, flexibility, social, adaptive, and independence skills while developing pathways toward learning, belonging, and future success.
