Behavior Instructor/Behavior Technician
Green Mountain Behavior Consulting is growing and seeks skilled, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team! The behavior Instructor (BI) will be part of a collaborative team and will assist children and youth to increase skills in school and community. BI's work directly with individual students to implement their behavior support plans and IEP's. The BI assists with teaching communication, motor, academic, social, self care, functional living, and play skills - while assisting to reduce challenging behaviors.
Successful candidates must be able to:
- Collect accurate and timely data as instructed
- Follow specific program protocols as written
- Willingly accept regular feedback and support
- Work well with others
- Maintain physical fitness, demonstrate physical prevention techniques
-Be respectful of students, clients, families and Co-workers
The behavior interventionist will work under the guidance of their behavior analyst and/or assistant behavior analyst to implement academic and behavior programs and supports- 1:1 with students in the public school and community setting. Successful candidates will have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Experience with autism is a plus (but not necessary)!
Positions available in various locations!
Preferred: 1+ years experience in mental health/behavioral field (not necessary).

Job Description
​Seeds of Change is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our team. Seeds of Change offers an exciting opportunity for the BT to work in a clinic based setting in beautiful Montpelier, Vermont! The BT will be responsible for providing behavior- analytic services and programs either individually or in a small group with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), other developmental disabilities, and/or emotional-behavioral disorders. Each BT will report directly to at least one BCBA® or assistant behavior consultant (ABC) responsible for the assessment, program development, and ongoing supervision of the behavior-analytic program. Qualifications
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities
  • Clean driving record and current state-issued driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Behavior Analytic Responsibilities
  • Reads, regularly reviews, and implements behavior analytic programming as directed by the responsible BCBA® or ABC which may include: behavior reduction procedures, skill acquisition procedures, and crisis or emergency response procedures.
  • Collects accurate and timely data throughout the course of the program day
  • Completes any and all mandatory reporting documentation required by the clinic and law by the end of the same service delivery day.
  • Implements crisis and emergency response procedures when warranted using the approved and trained intervention techniques
  • Maintains client confidentiality to the maximum extent required by law
  • Collaborates and interacts professionally with co-workers, care-givers and outside service providers
  • Maintains professional appearance and interactions
  • Refrains from engagement in any activities or relationships that constitute a conflict of interest
  • Attends supervision meetings as scheduled, accepts feedback from direct supervisors and adjusts performance as necessary
Professional Duties and Expectations
  • Arrives on time to all regularly scheduled work shifts and follows company procedure in the event of an unscheduled cancelation or emergency
  • Obtains and maintains all company-requested training including, but not limited to: CPR/First Aid certification, Mandatory Reporting Requirements, and (when applicable) RBT® certification
  • Obtains and/or participates in all required in-service trainings required by the clinic
  • Refrains from the use of personal devices (e.g. cell phones, laptops, iPads, etc.) during working hours unless permitted by the direct supervisor or in cases of emergency
  • Adheres to all current company policies and procedures including, but not limited to: appropriate dress, requests for time off, call-out procedures, alcohol/drug use or possession, etc.
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of respect for client welfare, dignity, and safety
  • Always demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving-abilities, and sound judgment
  • Completes required tasks to support day to day functioning at the clinic (cleaning, material prep, curriculum development, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by Seeds of Change Director or BCBA®

Pay: $16 - $19 per hour
